All new CH system with Oso solarcyl twin coil unvented, solar coil not yet in use system boiler 'S' plan, everything works but the boiler temp setting has to be at 5 to raise the tank hot water to 60 to stop the stat calling and turn off, set at 4 the burner shuts down and the pump runs continuously drawing heat back from the tank.

Monitored for 13 mins in this state no change, Hot water drawn off tank and the burner cut in for 10 mins raising the temp again but not sufficiently , then burner turned off whilst stilling calling for HW. 45 mins later pump still running burner off HW temp static still calling.

Either turning the water off or resetting will cause the burner to relight at full power then powering down and finally turning off leaving the pump running with the hw stat still calling. Motorised valve is operating correctly'

The question is this should the 24i have to be set at 5, [ I would not think so ] to raise the HW to 60 degrees.

Are the parameters for the return temperatures for this boiler a factor, although hot you can hold your hand on the pipe and not yelp! What am I missing, don't answer that :smile5:

The boiler is modulating as the flow temp is approaching the set point 4 ? Just bang it on 5 and chill. The flow water needs to be a minimum of 75 to give u water at temp of 65.
