Alright guys? Just a quick one.

If there is 2 open flued fires in the same room, totalling 13kw combined, but the room used to be 2 rooms eith the dividing wall now removed, does it now need a vent?

Or is adventitious air still applicable as it used to be 2 rooms?

I thought so.

But reason for asking is, surely there's still the same amount of air coming in to the property as before, when the dividing wall was in place?

No. That came up in my acs. From memory my 1st post is correct

I was under impression it doesn't need a vent as it used to be two rooms

No, as it has been converted into one space, only one allowance can be made for adventitious air. This was also discussed in my ACS! Seems to be a popular one!

Doesn't matter, same way as it doesn't matter whether a room has 1 window or a dozen. Still only 7KW allowance for adventitious air...

According to the regs yes.
It comes down to ventilation requirements for multiple appliances in one room.
There is info in viper re calcs

and if i remember correctly..you need to do 7 flow tests!!!
or did it have a fan in the adjacent kitchen?

Cheers for the advice guys! Only a small vent required, but a vent required non the less. Luckily I at risked it before leaving!

if they were 2 DFEs then 200cm2 would be required.
if it was 1 purposely made room with 2 DFEs then it would be 235cm2
