Boiler advice

Hi,
we have been called to a property that the boiler has been capped off from the gas supply and issued with a warning notice. The engineer has isolated this and on the warning notice has stated that 'heat exchanger check minus 6.59'. I personally have never come across this and have been asked why the boiler has been isolated. The boiler is a Worcester Greenstar 30si. Any advice would be appreciated.

Phone the guy who disconnected it and ask him where he took that reading and why he cut it off for that reason.

Not sure , his analyser maybe needed re calibrated saying CO2 at -6.59 hahaha

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. The engineer did not put a contact number on the cert but have looked the company up on gas safe so will try to contact them in the morning. Hi stoney is that what the 6.59 refers to?

Engineer needs to read the M.I's and service accordingly.
Maybe he should go to specsavers.....................................

Also are you G.S. registered, if not then you should not be playing around with the boiler.

If it was the fan differential test then -6.56 is a clean heat exchanger

probably was a diff press check and hes simply stating its ok, but he hasnt wrote the actual fault on the notice, are u gs registered
