Hi,

I have a combi 105HE boiler, when ever the heating comes on the pressure goes above 4 bar, any idea why it is doing this and how I can stop it? This started this morning.

(Also when the hot water is turned on i never actually get hot water, not sure if the 2 are related although the hot water issue has been going on for months)

hi you will need a gas safe engineer to attend your appliance.

i have someone coming out next week do you think it will be ok until then? i wont use the heating much until then just to be safe

It shouldn't be able to get to 4bar. Best to switch it off until it's looked at

No it wont mate , your better trying to get a quicker visit , the boiler safety valve should be emptying the pressure outside at 3bar so it should never have a 4 bar ,

ok ive switched the unit off altogether will get someone out as soon as possible. Thanks for the replies

Maybe faulty pressure gauge as well or prv is stuck ! but good idea not to use boiler.

Definitely turn off and get someone else sooner.

However, because you're unregistered and not a gsr.......

For you this thread is over.
