Just a quick one... Do you need to change burner seals on Worcester bosch boilers. I know with Vaillants you do every 5 years but what about the Worcester bosch boiler ?

When the fan pressure drops below the minimum stated in the book... Or if your break the seal ever to change fan or electrodes... Iv never had a prob with them but would not hurt to change earlier...

Every 3 years I change them

Vaillant had a known problem which led to a recall... Iv never seen a Worcester seal fail the same

they did but what got me they never emailed there customers tell them this

every 2 years, this is the reason why,if you dont take it apart and clean it often, the baffles weld in and it writes the kebab off IMG_20151009_093331899[1].jpg

Do Worcester recommend every 3 years??? The MI's go by fan pressure, we were at the factory tour a few months back and a training day recently. No mention of that. Hopefully get to the training van soon.

How olds that hex Gasman? How long without a service?

Gaskets and special cleaning tools won't half pump up the service price! Recently went to an inspection with an Ri where their usual engineer had changed the fan, but hadn't renewed the gasket! Reckon he did it blindfolded! Rubber at the fan was squashed out the side of the joint and the gasket was worn so bad it was spewing unburnt gas out into the boiler, CO was through the roof, found the new gasket that comes with the fan in the boiler cupboard under the fan instructions!! Dodgy stuff! Made safe and serviced properly... Never cleaned the hex as fan pressure read correct though!

Must have had a problem or been running bad, Iv taken a look in a few after 5 or 6 years when changing the fan, they looked brand new inside!!

Apart from the worn detection probe of course :p
