Hi I work on a new build site were every house is first fixed so the flow and return and hot and cold pipework is above the boiler. So the boilers will be piped up via a stand-off kit Ideal independents. Anything wrong with using stand-off kits as a matter of course?

if made by man no your fine

as above if its the right one for the boiler there no problem although most of the time i use 3x2 and plasterboard

Those Ideal kits come either pre-piped or without pipe. Save tearing out your hair and go for the pre-piped variant!
