Hi,

I have an old Baxi wm 512 rs boiler. I live in an ex council flat and they seem to have put these in every flat. Every time i want to put on the water only, the heater comes on..

Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Any help gratefully received.
Thanks

motorised valve is most likly possibly roomstat if you have either. Some old council systems just had a manual gate valve to shut the heating or a flowshare divertor valve

Thanks for your answer....

.. Sorry to be stupid.. but what does 'motorised valve is most likly possibly roomstat' mean. Where can I find the manual gate valve to shut off the heating when i just want hot water.

thats why it is a motorized valve - its automatic. unless it was installed by a decent plumber, there will be no manually operated gate valve to shut! if you could post a schematic of your installation we may be able to help further, otherwise it's gonna be difficult!
