In the case of a shower with thermostatic valve, hot from mains water connected combi .
Is there a problem connecting the cold to the shower indirectly from attic cistern appox 1.5 mtr above shower

Why have you got a tank in the loft? Unless it is an old combi which is tank fed you shouldnt have a tank in the loft.

Equal pressure is needed at the valve. Thermostatic shower valves don't always work well with combi's.
What boiler do you have?
