Hello,

We have been advised by our landlord that our covering the exposed pipes at the base of our boiler with a make shift plastic cover (to stop a draft coming through the large hole in the wall) is what has stopped the hot water working in our kitchen (the hot water works everywhere else in the house). We have also been informed that this covering could have killed us all and burnt the house down.

The cover itself was made from a super market plastic bag and some tape, and didn't actually touch any of the pipe work. It was definitely not air tight either.

We are just wondering whether these arguments are accurate as we may have to shell out a lot of money.
Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks!
