Hey is it ok to discharge a toilet in to a horizontal tee branch instead of an elbow as shown in the picture. The soil pipe is running between the joist and carries on in 1.5inch to pick up the bath. soil pipe.jpg

Would need to be a swept tee and you would need a fall on the pipe and venting at the head of the drain run.
Also you would not be running 4" pipe through a joist ....
 
It has a small sweep on it like most tee branches. Is running parallel with the joist so not through it.
