i dropped some small metal scissors down the toilet, now when i flush the chain it still flushes as long as there is not much toilet paper, however when i do flush the chain the drain in the shower sometimes bubbles up and a bit of water comes out into the shower ( is this water dirty? its came from the drain! ) and when i have a shower the drain fills up quickly and i end up with a small puddle in the shower, until it goes down when i get out.

My final problem is that when i use the sink to wash my face, the toilet starts making a burping noise and big water bubbles cause splashes...

what can i do to help this and how unhealthy is this situation?

thanks

sounds iffy,i would call out a plumber, seems like you have some issues that need resolving by a professional.

Potentially quite unhealthy.

You need to get a professional in. The scissors will have lodged somewhere and solids will be building up behind them, and eventually the soil pipe will be blocked solid if you leave it.

Begs me to ask the question - how come you didn't retrieve the scissors before the toilet got flushed? Would have seemed the common sense thing to do.

i was in a rush the time i dropped them, i thought ok ill make sure to get them later, then later i completely forgot and blew my nose, threw down the toilet and flushed the chain

how much could this issue cost to resolve?

thanks

get a couple of quotes, the sooner you sort this out the better.

so in the shower is it actually old dirty water coming up?

i think id be safer to not even have a shower this morning!

or take out the toilet yourself and get your hand down the soil pipe,or call a plumber to do the same

thanks for all help, i actually have a plumber coming today to look at other things so ill get him to have a look and hope i can afford to pay him rather than tell my dad!

i only ask now, my toilet has been like this for 3 weeks, should i stop using this shower? it just splurted up more water while i was brushing my teeth

thanks

depends were the scissorsd have lodged, we wouldnt know without checking

could be down the bottom of the stack but more likely to be at the back of the toilet. not a nice job, i would be charging 80 plus to come and do it - purely for the fact its a sh+t job (excuse the pun)
