The chances are the boiler will contain asbestos as well so its a double no no.

Why cant they fit a condensing boiler? My only thought would be it is an open flue boiler in the middle of the house and they dont want to pay the extra to move it.

Make a note of the address so when they phone you up to service it you know to tell them to do one.
