are they 1 pipe or 2 pipe systems tho? not sure why as i have replaced and installed from new many tank systems but these confuse me:confused: any ideas where i can see a plumbing diagram of installation from new? are they primatic as i could only see the one feed tank attached to the side of it.. sorry for ignorance here guys... ive only been plumbing for myself for 12 yrs now ...and still learning

ps, thanks for the elson tip

fitted loads of these in late 60s,pipework same princible as cylinder.

you get a few varieties just like normal cylinders, but the majority are primatic where-by a chamber causes an air lock this seperates the heating circuit from the stored hot water like a primatic they fill internally

all sorted now thanks, it had a 12 port compression manifold with 12 ... 8mm pipes spider fron it into the floor, had to replace manifold and 2 port, all done...all working except the one and only rad with 10mm pipe is cold, guessing its blocked as valves are open, ..anyone know a reason for one to be 10mm pipe ?? or did fitter just run out of 8mm ha ha??

is it the furthest rad? 10mm was used where 8mm was considered under sized usually the furthest radscould just be air stopping it working close both rad valves open air vent with a bucket and rag to catch water when it stops running remove the pin and hold a bucket infront of the vent turn on one valve and let it run for a couple of mins or till its hot then repeat with the other valve
obviously if you get nothing from one side its blocked if so a mains fed hose connected to the rad might clear it
