Central heating system with 2 off 22mm Honeywell Zone Valves, 1 for heating and 1 for hot water.

The hot water valve lasts about 6 months and then stops opening sufficiently so that the operating arm fails to hit the microswitch to switch on pump.

Have changed the head twice and valve twice, but same cycle repeats.
Fault can be cleared temporarily by removed operating head on valve and cycling valve manually.

The heating valve is installed next to the hot water valve in the same orientation and never suffers from this fault.

Any ideas please

if you still have the failed ones you could try honeywells maybe they could give an answer
are you sure water is running in the right direction through both valves
its rare for what you describe to happen as these are normally quite reliable pieces of kit and usually its the motor that packs up first the motor can be changed cheaper than a complete head
