Hot cold water pressure

Been to look at a job where the customer requires a few things doing. One of them he wants to change the bath mixer with shower attachment. The trouble is the cold is mains supply so washes out the hot.

I have explained to the customer this isnt ideal, but was thinking of changing the bath mixer and then a prv on the cold to balance out pressure.

Do you think this is a acceptable option?

the feeds should be taken from the same source but whacking a prv on the cold will be the fix
