Hi all,
I am converting a commercial building (modern, cavity walls, single storey, insulated) into a large bungalow. It's shape is a large U and I will have ensuites remote from the boiler location. I am looking at electric showers/point of use underbasin electric heaters for these, as there would be long HW deadlegs....is this sensible from a practical/cost/energy point of view do you think (ensuites in occasional use only).
Thanks

Hi gongoozler :) Ask your plumber about secondary circulation for the hot water circuit!

It's an alternative, and if you've got good cold mains supply and are fitting an unvented Cylinder it'll give you a cracking shower :) You can also go down solar thermal to heat the water? If you're in the planning stage it's well worth considering IMHO :)

It will cost you a fortune in electric heaters and will look awful. Never mind the cost of electrical install.
Do as above with secondary circulation.
