Potted history, did plumbing and heating from school, indentured apprentice & college etc, paid off in 91. Worked in factory and worked my way up, last two years abroad, came back in 2003 and been self employed since.

Anyway two weeks ago knock at the door from one of the lads I used to work for, he's now head of planning and do I want a job 26k, contract to start good possibility of turning into permanent in the future. I said 26k, having a laugh, you come and knocked on my door. Well he come back last week 32k, how soon can I start, I said in June.

Decided today not taking it, the reason...............I'd be bored silly within 3 weeks and miserable as sin. Didn't really realise this until I dropped a price around to somebody else I worked with who said that it was good I was going back. Within a split second I told her I don't think so.

Amazing really, been chewing this over and over, but at that moment she said about coming back I knew and to be honest it feels great.

Ask me again in 6 months though!!!!!!!

I think you're right, I would miss the freedom and having to answer to somebody else. And I still reckon bored out of my skull within 3 weeks.

This is the exact reason why I always say that I am self unemployed!!!! coz I wouldnt work fer anyone who would employ me
