Hello all. This is my first post, great site by the way. Much credit due to all who offer advice on here.

Not a big problem (i think), but there is no longer any lights or indications showing on the front of the boiler, completely blank. Central heating works fine, as does the hot water. The on/off switch on the front also works, so I think it really is just a display issue. All connections to the pcb and the fuse appear to be sound.

Would it be worth changing the display control unit or is it more likely a pcb issue?

Anyone see any problems with me just leaving it like this?

Thanks for any advice

Matt

We have the Ideal isar 24 same problem, did think about changing the display but turned out to be the pcb
first one Ideal changed on warranty
then a year later that packed up so got one on ebay £70-£80 approx
best to get it sorted before we all start to freeze again

Id have thought user display too Matt ... Can only recolect this once or twice in the past but for the love of me don't remember for definite what I replaced ... Nearly sure it was User Display though! Sorry I can't be more specific :)

I know this post is old, but if we can gain form our members experience it would be great
i have the same issue and then ICOS HE12 stopped working..
no display in the display unit and then after few days it stopped completely.
so what was the problem of yours if yours
