leaking cylinder coil

As the coil is leaking the small water tank is overflowing, anything I can do to slow this down, will truning the heating water off help!

just get on with arranging for a new hot water cylinder to be fitted.

Neil, in order to stop the leak you will have to turn off the water to both loft tanks. Then once the larger tank has drained down to the water level in the smaller tank the leak will stop.

As as the other guys have said though get it sorted ASAP as your water system at home will be next to useless.
