Hi All
I wonder if any of you experts can help.

My house is about 13 years old and has 3 toilets. Due to the ball valves leaking I have to periodically clean them out to prevent them from leaking. This can be as much as twice a month and sometimes more.

Every time the problem has been a build up of very thin curly wire preventing the valve to seat.

My wife has also noticed occasionally this wire appearing in the kettle and sometimes in her tea.

Although I have now become an expert at dismantling the valves to resolve the problem short term I just have no idea were the wires are coming from.

I have asked a few plumber friends however they have no idea.

It started about 6 years ago so you can understand why i am so frustrated.

Any help would be most appreciated

Ray

Is there anybody who has come across this and if there is anyway of resolving it would be appreaciated
