New Boiler installed in November 2012, out with the Ferroli and in with a Vaillant.

Engineer was Gas Safe Registered.

Do they on completion/commision of the boiler send anything off to Gas Safe/Vaillaint and do I as the end user get
anything back from either of them?

Now the second week in January and i've had nothing back from anyone.

Thankyou

Its reported to gas safe and can take upto 6 weeks for you to get something through

You should get some paperwork back from gas safe, though they can pretty slow. Not so sure about Vaillant as I don't deal with them.

Ok, thanjyou, it's been 9 now and nothing, is there anywhere I should ring to chase etc?

A couple of those will have been Christmas and new year though.

I'd start with the installer, he should be able to check online that its been processed.

did they fill in the benchmark at the back of the manufacturers' instructions?

that's one thing then. just have to be patient for the other certificate

What of Vaillaint? I bought the boiler a year before I actually had it fitted, is it guaranteed from the date of commission or date of purchase?

Hi

I have had a new boiler fitted and having read your post, as I have been left with no paperwork, my engineer hasn't filled the benchmark manual in at all and it states my warranty will be null and void if they haven't completed this - is this correct?
