Hi I am wondering can anyone help, turned my heating on p, on sat and it was fine then the radiators downstair weren't heating up at all, yet the ones upstairs are although not to the temperature they'd are meant to be at! It is oil heating I've tried tapping the pipes, bleeding the radiators and nothing!! Has my pimp gone or can anyone suggest anything, apart from paying a plumber. Thankyou

from your description it sounds like your pump has failed. oh and welcome to the forums.

Thats a throw back to inspector clouseau. Is my pimp broken.

Sorry, its been a long day. You can try giving the pump a tap, but youll need a new one.

Minkey, still cracks me up now.

Please excuse the getting offtrack, your pump is knackered, you'll need to get someone in and I'm afraid pump's are quite expensive nowadays.

Sorry people ive sacked my pimp he's useless haha! I laughed for ages when I seen what I had wrote, sorry yeah thought it was the pump! We'll my neighbour said I can take her pump as she got gas in! Can I use it on mine? Also when I took the cover off the pump water came out I'm assuming this is normal? No idea I am studying veterinary nursing not plumbing :/

I like you, you're not all there.......

As long as your neighbour isn't using her pump you could be ok for a wee while but I should get new washers if I were you. And I would definitely start saving for a new pimp.

And if you removed the penny screw then water's normal.

Now you can answer one for me.

If one sheep is a sheep, why isn't more than one sheep called sheepsies?

Enquiring minds and all that........

'I tapped my pipes'

Try hitting them harder but with a mash hammer, would might get some 'success'

Put up your location and you may find a local guy on here to change the pump for you.
