First job this morning servicing a 11 year old worcester heatslave.
No pressure in it when I got there so out with the footpump and upto 1 bar.
Baffles out, good scrape, hoover out, new nozzle, check flue, tank, filter etc etc etc.
Pressure gauge in, smoke tested, temp took, co2 spot on.
Invoice written, tools gathered up, then..................turn hot water back on. Valve shifts over and there's water everywhere, absolutely streaming out the bottom of the boiler. Heatstore tank shot at the top, signs of previous leaks from flow switch, air vent and heat exchanger. Top of the store was like a tea bag.
So several phonecalls later swapping it out monday after moving next weeks boiler change into the week after. Don't seem to be getting any work done that I have booked in, it's all priority work at the minute. Kerching.
