My boiler has been short cycling for a while now but it seems like the time periods between cycles are getting shorter.
It comes on for 2 minutes then off for 3 or 4 then back on for 2. It's driving me up the wall.
It's not cutting out at the room stat but at the boiler. The return to boiler is cooler than the supply so surely can't be overheating?
The other thing is it does it wether the HW zone valve is open or not. As I thought it might have been overheating as the return water from the coil doesn't have a valve for reducing flow.

Could it be a faulty limit stat?

The boiler is an Ideal slimline classic SE18FF the boiler thermostat is set to 5.
