hi, im new to forum and need some advice. i am putting in an ensuite in a bungalow i want to put the toilet on the outside wall with the pipe going straight out the wall. around 5.4 metres to the right is an disused gully drain that i know goes to a manhole around a further 4.5 metres away that goes to main sewers. the question i have is can i connect straight to the gully ( removing the trap of course), or would i have to put in a soil stack and connect to that, would it have to be a full height stack or a stub. also i would be running shower and sink wastes to the pipe. i was informed that the maximum horizontal run to a soil stack is 6 metres. the horizontal pipe would be around 400mm above ground and i was thinking of boxing it in with bricks, also i presume i would have to have rod points somwhere. any advice would be great as the web is a mine field of info for an amateur diyer.
