Hello, could someone possibly advise me on a hot water problem with my Potterton Performa 28 combi boiler.
I have to turn a tap full on before the hot water will fire up. Once it it fired up it is then possible to reduce the tap flow. (central heating not on)
Looking at the diverter valve, the little piston only pops out a short distance if the initial tap flow is less than full on, thus the micro switch does not operate. If the tap is turned full on then the piston extends fully and operates the micro switch and all is well even if subsequently the tap flow is now reduced.
Does anyone know the cause of this problem???
Many thanks
