Hello all , as above can you recomend any gooduns or ways of unblocking loos , sorry if this is to simple a question :confused5:
Regards Billy

Cheap way is to cut the bottom off a coke cola bottle

Yeah, keep the lid screwed on and cut the bottom off, think a 1.5L bottle works best.

Your fist with a bin bag over. Then pull the bin bag inside out when finished, then into another bin bag

i use one of those black moulded plungers for loo's. they work really well

try flushing it, as most customers run away after the first rise to the rim, which often clears itself. Had one today , flushed it and it worked normally so in with the plunger just to show willing, and custard was chuffed to bits, he then gave me a list of other problems round the house, seemed he doesnt like call out charges so saved everything up. After 2 hours we started on the boiler and I had to say sorry but need a part, see you friday and we will service it at the same time! back friday on normal servicing rates :)

Thanks for your replies all and the humour , steve i did buy a 4 inch head and rod from tool station but i will be honest i found it a bit awkward it seemed to just be the wrong size in respect that i couldnt get a good pump as it got wedged , maybe its me ( lump hands).
I used to get more involved in this going back in the day and i am sure we used to have 6 inch heads ! .
Thanks again
Billy

Thanks Kay-jay , just one more question is the 5 inch better for toilets , then i will get one on order .
Regards Billy

The one in the link is what I have and its very good but doesnt work on all toilets. They do a few different types and sizes. There is one thats just for bogs I think. I will try to find a link when I get chance.

I liked the old sparklets co2 guns, couple of shots down the bog work wonders most times, only issue is backwash and the occasional couple parting company from the back of the bog :)

done and dusted in no time with 3 rods and a plunger

Plus 1 for the 4" plunger on a rod, but I still prefer an old fashioned rope headed mop, the cleaning ladies take a dim view of it though!
