Hi all,
I have been informed my boiler sump on my ideal logic 24+ has a crack. A common fault on the ideals by the looks of it. I can source the sump for about 55 quid. How much would you say is reasonable to replace the part.
Ps I've just had my boilers serviced and they never noticed the rust for weere it has been leaking which is a little disconcerting.
Regards Jim

any rust within a boiler case is potentially serious, you should have been told .
I changed a sump on one a month ago , admittedly a regular customer, I charged £60 plus cost of sump .

Ha....not a think mate. I was told it was like new .. I've requested a job on mybuilder so we'll so what they come back with.

I wasn't here but my mum was and said her was her for a while concerned with there service. I haven't had the bill yet so might contest paying the full amount for them service.

Crack seems to be in the usual place

I know what your gonna. And yes I did. It was leaking water everywhere. It's all back on now.
The boiler was turned off and I have readers in the cupboard. I haven't messed with anything else.

You now need to get someone in to make sure that it is all ok. As you have taken the case off.
