boiler case on a room sealed appliance not able to be screwed back. What would you class this as?

Bit of silicone would solve it :D

Bit of a tricky one part of me says ID but then if it's not causing an Immediate danger then its AR.

Personally I would AR it.
 
Yeah if burner seal is fine etc. and combustion is fine I'd AR it too. There's no immediate danger.

I always go on the analogy in situations like these that my trainer taught, if it doesn't kill you today but could kill you tomorrow AR. If it could kill you today then ID.
