How do you go about putting a vertical flue up through a roof where you cant get a roof ladder to hook over anything.

They have a vertical flue in now and it's on a pitched roof but a side one if you get what I mean.

I'm guessing scaffold up then unsure what to do next.

Scaffolding probably mate. Any pics of the pitched roof?

I was going to take a couple of photos got chatting to the customers and forgot.

I'm planning on getting scaffolding up to gutter height. It's the actual going up the roof I cant get my head round as i cant hook a ladder over the ridge.

And you can’t do this?

Like the one in the pic not on the roof ?

When they are awkward like that i just tell them they need to organise a roofer or scaffolder. Scaff is pricey and can be left up for weeks after plus likely hood of wrecking their beloved flower bed etc etc .

Put the onus on them

Like this on the side that you cant hook a roof ladder over.

It's on a 2 storey house so I think scaffolding to get up there then something to run up the roof.

If it’s second story yes scaf

If it’s first you could place your ladder up so it follows the pitch
