Hiya, what sort ? pneumatic or a smack with a hammer one ? they are normally used
for re-covering chairs and sofas or fixing vapour barriers on to stud walls and roof rafters
or if its a decent one...fixing down plywood etc to level timber floors up.

We use it when first fixing new builds with copper. We staple hairfelt to the underside of the joists to run clip the pipes on.

Staplers are handy for relaying carpets or especially the under felt, which plumbers often need to do.
Also useful for holding down temporary plastic sheets over floorboards.
Some staple guns also use small nails which are obviously handy

I've used my staple gun to fit Uponor Uni-foil suspended timber floor insulation. The foil goes up and down over the joists, making an insulated void for the pipes to run in. That's the only time I really used it for anything but makes for quick fixing method.

Punishing apprentices? (soft bits only of course).
Staple design drawings to the wall?
Clipping alarm cables out of the way (although I think they are normally round topped).

Is it this type?
Can you buy round topped staples for these or are they a different gun?
