Hi Everyone,

Can anyone tell me what's the best way to fix this leaky connection union?

Does the connection to the main down pipe need to be horizontal? Looks a bit dodgy to me.
Should I replace with the pipe layout with something like I have sketched with the red or green lines in the picture attached?
