Hey,

Got what I believe is a BDR91T1004 receiver, image attached, working with a CM927. Have the same problem with the screen going on the controller that a lot of people have raised and so need to replace it.

Do you know if it is a BDR91T1004 receiver?
Can you buy a TR4 and pair it a BDR91T1004 receiver?

Thanks

According to the Honeywell Home website, the T3R and T4R are not compatible with BDR91 apparently because the latter does not support link encryption.

There is, however, a folk memory that it was once possible to bind the T3R to the BDR91. There is no guarantee that this still works as recent T3Rs may contain different hardware/firmware. So, if you already own a T4R it might be worth trying but I wouldn't hold out much hope.

You can buy a replacement for the CM927 that is compatible with BDR91's from Resideo (Honeywell Home), google for 'Hanicks Honeywell/Pro CM927', if you want to stick with the receiver you already have. It does not have exactly the same features so check the data sheet before buying.

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah...I did think about just replacing the CM927 with the Hanick model but thought it might be an chance to upgrade the thermostat. Good shout on the firmeware of the TR3. Lots to explore and thanks again for your help.

Separately, any experience with radiator thermostats? Are they worth the money?
