They are push on manual vents, tightening the screw head might do it. You may have to grip the fitting or it'll turn when trying to tighten.

Not sure if I will tighten the screw head in case it makes the leak worse, a bit nervous about doing that!

Clean the slot out and get a good fitting screwdriver. It might not work but you can't make it worse by trying to turn it clockwise.

These are push-on vents. I hope it got fixed by now. Anyway, you can call an expert anytime if the leaking issue still exists.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.
I have managed to tighten the fitting using some grips, which seems to have fixed the leak, however, I am intending to get the 6-12 of these I have upstairs replaced as I already have a brown stain on my kitchen ceiling after a recent concealed cistern leak.
Have tried to search the net to find out how these push-on vents actually work, but with little success but I will persevere!

6 -12 manual vents really? Seems excessive unless you have alot of dead legs or a problem with air ingress. Nothing to them really, unscrew the valve to release any trapped air or blead your system and they can quite easily removed with the right tool.

What has a leaky cistern got to do with it?
