Hi all,

Please can you advise on the above, estimates of costs would be fine.

I realise it depends on my competency / skill set & experience to a degree. I've no "oil" experience to speak off apart from a couple of boiler installs back in the 1980's! I'm classified as Category 2 in the "prerequisites for OFTEC assessments"

List of costs:
1. Specialist tools & equipment (recommendations of brands would be useful as well) £
2. Training £
3. OFTEC registration - with Renewables added £415 plus VAT
4. Manuals & forms £
5. Ongoing e.g. calibration of flue gas analyser & OFTEC annual renewal fee ££
6. others....
Length of time to train as well please?

Cheers in advance :)

Jim

Around £800
Nozzles, smoke pump, oil vacuum pump, other bits and pieces

£800 3-5 days

Oftec £450

Comes with course

£250 plus cal around £150

Spares eg control boxes , oil pumps and flex lines etc £500 for starting out could easily spend 1k but best to find out the main brands in your area
