Discuss Plumbers Talk Categories - Why they're useful in the Plumbers Talk Updates and News area at Plumbers Forums

The following links take you to the forum categories we have on Plumbers Talk. They're the same as clicking on the orange category links on the actual forum homepage. Usually they just contain the forums that they have in them, so it's the same information as on the homepage.

So I thought I'd make them useful.

They now contain some widgets of information, the top viewed threads or top trending threads from over the last 18 years. They're setup a bit different in each but basically they have nice long threads in there with lots of information in them, relating to the actual category topic.

Classic. Thanks mate. These are the ones. And the forums themselves are still normal mate.

So they should be nice handy pages. Please check them all out, reply here with any feedback if you have any.

I see no links?

My suggestion is that if you are making 18-year old threads prominent again, and if it's possible to do automatically, threads older than, say, 6 months, should be locked so people don't attach new questions to old discussions.

I may not be typical, but I prefer each thread to deal with a single question (or at most, related questions from a single OP about the same project); once there's more than one person. I tend to have short burst of limited time to read / answer the forum so I like short focused threads.
