I can't see whether the bellows which activates the flush is supposed to fit inside the opening at the top of the valve or press down on the edge.
It doesn't seem to be aligned with the top so I don't know what's up with it.
 
Thank you. The problem is at the top of the valve . The actuation of the flush is by an air mechanism. Push the button and a pulse of air is pushed along a tube which connects to a plastic bellows. This bellows expands and pushes on the top of the valve moving the piston.
I can't see where the bellows connects with the top of the valve tube.
