    Solenoid valve bolted onto a butterfly valve (commercial)

    I have been told you can no longer bolt a gas solenoid valve onto a 1/4 turn butterfly valve. There must be a section of pipe inbetween. The regs have recently changed. anyone heard this?

    Worcester combi pump runs continuously

    Went to a worcester 30CDI combi today where the pump keeps running after heating or hot water demand. I rang worcester and the suggested unplugging the wires to the pump and reconnecting which seems to have done the trick for now Anyone had this?

    Anyone fitting Glow worm combis?

    Anyone fitting Glow worm combis? I need a cheaper alternative to put on a quote with a Vaillant 824 Was looking at the Flexicom and Ultracom-2 Good, bad or average? It can't be an Ideal as it's to replace an Isar It must have a 15mm gas connection or the new kitchen will need to be butchered

    Zoning a new CH system

    Going to measure up to quote for a new CH system on Saturday, a warm air Unit to be replaced with 6 radiators and a combi. To adhere to building regs it should be zoned, do you guys include this in your quote or put it as a suggested extra?

    Vaillant Ectec 824 flow restrictor?

    Fitting one today and its only letting 7.8 LPM through I know its only a 24kw but its a bit pants Is there a flow restrictor that can be removed or changed? I cant see anything in the MI's about it

    Honeywell cm901/907

    Anyone fit these or the RF models? I have only installed one but wasn't very impressed with the slider for selecting the function, it felt very flimsy and didn't give a positive click into place. Did I have a dodgy one or are they all like that?

    Ideal vogue side exit flue?

    Is it possible to use a standard flue turret elbow and put a 45 degree elbow straight into for a side exit flue? Any idea what the centre of the flue will be from the wall? I am trying to re-use the existing flue hole as the external wall is pebbel-dashed

    Cylinder insulation removal

    How do you get yours off?? Just spent an hour getting sweaty and creating 4 bags of insulation that I will need to dispose of. I will probably end up with £50 for my troubles. I use a old wood saw, large wall paper stripper and a crow bar to get mine off. Sometimes it seems like its not worth...
