This can only be a leak somewhere on DHW right?

Customer goes away for 2 weeks and turns off water. When they come back and turn it on CWSC fills up for 5 minutes. CWSC just feeds cylinder which in turn feeds kitchen, basin and bath hot. No visible leaks. CWSC in good condition, no leaks, has a lid. Must be leak on hot somewhere hidden right?

Removing rad for decorating and replacing - pricing.

What do you charge and do you do one price for each visit paid separately or get paid for both remove and replace on first job? Thanks

PRV's - How likely are they to/soon will they fail/creep up in pressure?

I know it'll vary with quality. Just a ball park idea. Should most sit pretty and do as required for at least a few years? Thanks

Saw a cracking bath install today.

What do you guys use to cut 3/4" copper?

22 slice never seems to finish it off presumably because it's that bit smaller.

Re-hang rad after plastering on non-solid wall of unknown substabce

What do you say/quote? Presuming you don't know the house and customer had no info. Obviously there are clues in age of property. You could strike a batton or could find lathe and plaster falling to pieces.

Best WC inlet valve for low pressure tank fed supply?

Fluidmaster are normally by go-to but noticed they can struggle on gravity feeds. Is there anything decent that performs better?

What the deal with this flush pipe to pan connecting plate?

Want to change flush pipe while changing cistern. Would it likely seal if I just push another in (presuming the old one wants to come out.) And if it doesn't because something dislodges, tears etc.. on removing that plate thing what kind of seal is going to be inside, just a normal flush cone...

Is this just a normal fortic type cylinder?

    Thanks

Would you suppor 1100 by 450 towel rail with 4 of these?

I'm wondering if borderline case or not. I know it's common to see little rads hung with these with no problems and this towel rad weighs probably less but it's also going to have people stuffing and pulling towels on and off? http://tinyurl.com/zj45ouh

What's the maxium pressure can you stop with your thumb?

Obviously there will be a little difference depending on the strength in your thumb but ball park. Anyone done this experiment? Thanks

Retro fitting bar mixer to 15mm compression shower pipework

Can you use this type of kit to replace a shower valve connected by 15mm copper tails with compression nuts with a bar mixer? I know they're a good way to leave feeds ready for a bar mixer but hadn't thought of them being used this way. Can't think of a reason why not? Unless the tiles were...

Customer emailed, wants plastic bath panel replaced with 'wooden one.'

    What would you use/do?

Could 4 bar static pressure prevent shower off combi getting hot enough?

Or rather it gets hot enough but only when turned to almost full hot or higher. With the taps if you turn them on a little it's very hot, turn them on full and it's almost cold. Would a PRV be first thing to try? Or could it be something wrong with boiler? Shower is new so not cartridge adding...

Would you fit something like this to tiled non solid wall?

Can't actually find weight listed anywhere on any site it's advertised on. They've got a curtain at the mo and want a screen instead. If this looks too heavy, what could be an alternative? Many thanks Lakes Classic 975mm Double Panel Curved Bath Screen Silver | SS20 05

How gospel is the max core bit size rating for core drills?

My mate has borrowed mine and I'm worried he might be using it for hole bigger than the 127mm max rating.

Does anyone know if aqualisa exposed valves all have same centres?

Can't get no love out of aqualisa customer support for some reason.

    Few random questions.

What does it mean when silicone sealant is described as mid modulus or high modulus? What do threads like M10 and M12 mean? Is it 10mm and 12mm? And why not imperial like other threads? Does water exit a deeper trap slower than a shallower trap? Is there any benefit to a flat wood bit over...

Can anyone tell me if these work?

And aren't hard/annoyin to use? Need to do a one off 52mm hole and don't fancy spunking out for a 52mm tile bit for it. Adjustable Hole Drill | Tile Hole Drill Bit | Tile Drill Bit

Anyone else fitted this Grohe kitchen mixer tap?

Grohe Get Monobloc Mixer Kitchen Tap Chrome | Kitchen Mixer Taps | NoLinkingToThis Fitted it today. Customer had that style of tap and wanted same. Swirl ones look cheap to me and the Bristan comes with one of those dodgy easy fit kits. Only fitted few Grohe things previously and all were solid...
