Can you replace this Aqualisa shower without disturbing tiling?

For a different brand of shower. Not sure how those elbows connect to pipework in wall. Looks like it would be easy enough to leave them in place and fit another Aqualisa I guess but if different options are wanted (and not keeping old non-shiny elbows) Thanks

You'd think being in a position to be picky about work would be cushty.

And of course it is, compared the opposite. But counting blessings isn't prominent in human nature. No matter how good things are we find reason to whinge. Just look at celebs. But turning stuff down is actaully a nightmare. Some people won't take no for an answer, some people take personal...

    Why a cylinder?

Why not a cuboid? Or a truncated cone? Zhush it up a bit, you know. Form over function, darlings.

Why might a indirect cylinder have two cold feeds?

One of which has a gate valve on which turned off the hot but the first I tried (gate valve appeared functional, not spinning) didn't. Not seen before. Didn't have time to investigate further, was just checking hot could be turned off for a tap change quote.

Does water ever gush out of a CWSC Vent/Expansion Pipe?

Back into CWSC. And if so how rare? Is it much more likely to drip? Thanks

My shower rail and hose died simultaneously.

And it turns out this works fine. It has a lock-on feature and tbh the spray is superior.

Copper or plastic pushfit. Anyone trust one over the other?

Used to copper pushfit today. Leak needed to be stopped. Access terrible. Water wouldn't shut off fully so solder not poss, speedfit too bulky for space. No room to swing a spanner. Checked was metric, clean, smooth. Just wondering how reliable....

    Stupid question about shower enclosures

Never installed a shower tray, only installed couple of shower enclosure in last 6 years and both supplied by customer. But I think I'm ready for the experience of a lifetime, adrenaline rush type experience of my first supply and install. This mank enclosure has died and needs replacing. Tray...

    Are these cables safe?

Sorting out some pipework where previous "plumber" didn't put inserts in his speedfit which the whole bathroom was done in and noticed these cables under a floorboard. Don't know if they were anything to do with him. Do they look like they've been made safe properly? I know not of these...

Just seen full bathroom done in JG, not one insert.

    In walls, under floors. Quality.

Would this be ok to run a high pressure shower?

Don't know anything about them. She has heart set on overhead drencher type shower requiring combi/HP set up. Didn't have time to measure pressure but kitchen hot seemed to have very decent oomph when turning it on.

Considering not fitting new cloakroom because of his wife's moustache.

It's enormous. Burt-Reynoldsesque. I can't look at it again. I won't. I don't really need the money enough to force myself to deal with it. Enormous, I tells you.

What do you use to protect wall/skirting when drilling solid walls?

Say for hanging rads on solid wall nicely plastered and painted?

Anyone know what would replace this?

Corroded inside. They just want the CCTV camera shaped bit replaced for something that will for. Never installed this kind of thing and not sure about threads, universality, ease of removal etc... Thanks

Can anyone recommend a decent top fix toilet seat?

From a national merchant/shed, not internet-only sellers like amazon etc. Thanks

Ok to use adjustable rad valve tails between iso and female flexi end?

I know normal type are fine. But this type where the bit slides up and down: Radiator Compression Valve Tail 15mm Pack of 2 | Manual Valves | NoLinkingToThis

Just cemented a WC pan to the floor.

Previous one had been and on smashing it out of position and chiseling away the lump of cement with the SDS it made a much more uneven surface then I ended up with last couple times I did it (done twice, both time the pan-grabbing cement came off in nice clean bits leaving a reasonably flat...

If you changed washer on washing machine hose...

And it remained leak free for 22 days (hose is in plain sight.) But then started leaking again on the 22nd day. Would you return and investiage and maybe replace hose/valve/washer for free? I know they are one of plumbing's most rubbish joints but almost seems like it's more likely to be them...

Bristan mixer shower says max differential pressure 5:1

Does that mean 0.2 and 1 bar will be fine yeah? (tank fed and main with a PRV fitted) Or does it mean it will work but not very well? And if not very well, what would be the problem? Thanks
