    Bath/Shower diverter valve

Went to go change a diverter valve on Thursday. What was ordered was a single inlet/2 outlet valve. What was in there already was a 2 inlet/2 outlet valve non thermostatic (below). I advised the wrong part was ordered and to order the correct valve. My question is this: could I have modified...

    Power Flushing Techniques

To date, I've only done a couple flushes on sealed systems on a single floor. And to be honest, I was given a pump and told, go power flush this property and I had no idea what to do :/ So on the way to the job I googled it and did it as best I could. In a nutshell, drained a rad, connected...

    New Kitchen Tap

Went to a private job the other day - same custard as the boiler job I had. Tenant was complaining about a few minor issues: leaking shower, toilet ballvalve, basin tap filter and a leaking kitchen tap. Went to have a look, diagnosed everything and quoted. Custard decided only to go ahead with...

    Power Flush Chemicals

So I've just ordered an Anton Flowclean Plus - which the specs say has a much higher flow rate than others and only for £780 including a plate heat exchanger adapter and hose extension kit. Anyway, my question is: what are the best chemicals to use? I've used fernox but it really froths up -...

So I overheard a conversation today at a plumb centre and I wanted to know if it was true or not - it doesn't seem feasible to me but I'm new so what the hell do I know! Glowworm 24 ci

So I went to a property yesterday, woman complaining the dhw smelt like oil :/ smelt it, tasted it and it seemed fine to me. Top Entry Immersion

I'm changing a top entry immersion tomorrow.. To date I've only done side entry. I'm thinking I just need to shut off the gate valve on the cold feed (if it's not seized), run the lowest hot tap to drain pipework and then crack open the immersion - catching the excess with a wetvac. Or is it...
