    Guttering price

    Friends A 3 bed mid terraced ex council house. At present it hast cast iron gutters & down pipes (1 at front & rear) So, any thoughts about a price to remove all & replace with black plastic? I've a price in mind but in not sure if it's too cheap (or expensive!) It's in Slough (Royal)...

    Friends Had a call about an aqualisa shower. Custard said it keeps tripping out & then at the end he said sometimes the water wouldn't switch off. Any thoughts on remedy? Cheers

    Electric shower advice please

    Friends Went to see a shower. Triton Tsi80 or something. Anyway, no power light comes on to the front, no water hot or cold. Took front off & with my Fluke (!) electric tester is lit up red & sounded. No idea about these but there's power going in. Any thoughts please? Thanks Rct

    Shower swap

    So, straight swap if a Bristan shower today. The one where I can't get the cartridge out. ( I've got the old shower to try again in a vice). Anyway, how many of you disregard the mesh filters & just use fibre/rubber washers? Be honest!! Rct

    Radiator tail leak

    Friends Got to fix a slightly weeping rad tail. Can turn valves off. Are there any tricks to repairing it without draining the rad, removing, ptfe & screwing back in? Cheers Rct

    Contract work

    So I do quite a bit of work where payment might take 30 days. I spend money on materials, eg £145 shower today. How do you deal with this? Just wait or ask for materials costs if over a certain amount. This month on my visa, as that how I buy everything, so far is just over £1200. Cheers

    Bristan bar shower

    Friends Above shower gas no hot water. The hot side is burning but only cold exits. I took shower off wall & water is fine. I tried to get the valves off the shower to look for a blockage (Toxic Ted) but they won't budge. Any tips? Cheers Rct

    Cold shower - brrrrrr

    Had a nasty cold shower at 9.30 am Went to fix a washing machine hose, pulled the machine out & snap, freezing water spraying everywhere. Couldn't get to the hose, big flood. Tenant came in & I told her to hold the pipe I'd bent over so I could isolate. Freezing.

    Bathroom extractor fan

    Friends I need to change one of these. Is it a case of taking the casing off, unwitting, unscrewing base from ceiling & repeating in reverse to put up new? I believe they are either 2 or 3 wires? Am I missing anything? Thx all Rct

    Van pipe tube

    Will a 3m pipe tube look stupid or be too big for a transit connect? Should I go for a 2m? I never buy 3m pipe anyway.

    Problem - Vaillant boiler knob

    Friends A Vaillant boiler - one of the grey knobs is broken, I bought new ones - they come is three's, anyway, the grey knob has a clear plastic centered spindle thing and it's snapped off in the hole. I can't get the bigger out!!!! Any suggestions? Shall I try drilling it with a fine drill...

    Blocked sink
