    Please Help to Identify Brass Fitting

    I have a vintage tank with a tapered brass fitting fixed in. A new mating fitting is required. The thread is 7/8" max with 26 tpi and it is tapered. 7/8" 26 is a standard British Standard Brass (BSB) thread, but tapered? I can find no reference to BSB tapered. Help?

    F&E Hot Water - solved

    I came on here to pick your brains - searched the forum and found the clues needed to solve my problem of hot water in the CH F&E tank. I had fitted a new circulating pump to my vented system and set the speed too high, so it was over-pumping. Thanks to everyone.
