    to drain or not to drain

    Moving a rad in a flat, all on one level. Running of a condensing boiler. Rad to be moved has the drain off. Straight forward rework of the flow and returns but: Do I drain the whole system even tho the main f and r pipework is all below the drain off so wont empty. Or shut off all lock sheild...

    drain gully headache

    The gully that my kitchen sink, dishwasher and rainwater runs into is blocked. It happened about 6months back and a bottle of melt cleared it. A whole bottle of one shot hasnt done squat this time, neither has a healthy dose of frantic plunging. Ive checked further down and no visable blockage...

    Ey up. Im looking at a job to replace the old and siezed gate style valves on the cold feed pipework from a CWSC and was wondering if 22mm compression fittings, replacing with full bore lever valves, can be fitted to old pipework or will I need to cut the pipes back and use 22 to 3/4...

    leaking lockshield valve - from spindle

    Hi, i have a lockshield valve leaking on a first floor rad. I've tightened down the nut and wound in the spindle slightly which seems to have stop water coming out from the top but if this isnt a permanent solution and i have to repack the gland can this be done without draining down the sytem...
