    Is it not the hse that would be the ones prosecuting? Is it not in their eyes that to be deemed competent on gas work you must hold the relevant ACS certificate for what you are working on and also be gas safe registered.

    Heat guns for fire valve testing.

    Anybody use a heat gun for fire valve testing? If so which one? Apparently we are trusted enough to drink a cup of tea but not to use boiling water and a thermometer for fire valve testing!

    Do you need unvented for under counter water heaters?

    Gas pipe sleeve for 28mm

    What do you use to sleeve 28mm pipe? Years ago I used to use 1 1/4" pipe. But you shouldn't use that as it should be suitable for carrying gas?

    Oil tank base.

    I am I'm the process of quoting for a complete oil heating system including tank and base. It will be a concrete base and I will be getting a builder in to do it as I don't want that hassle but so I know it's all done right will they have to dig out, put hardcore down, sand over that then concrete?

    Electrics on boiler swaps

    Do I have to get a sparky in to do the electrics if I'm swapping a boiler? I'm only talking 1 off 1 on no alterations to the electrics, on a complete system I will get someone in but it's just a pain trying to arrange one when I need them.

    Logic system C status but not firing up

    I have a friend at a logic system the boiler had F1 flashing up so I told them to top up the pressure now it has C status up but it is not firing up. I told him to turn it off and back on again then it worked. Turned it off and back on again now it has stopped working again. Any ideas?

    Flex icon running constantly

    Been at a job for a few days doing a couple of bathrooms and the bloke said his boiler stays on constantly. I checked the 2 ports all ok, on the switch live I have got 11v going to it. The boiler is in warranty so told him to get Glowworm out but just wondering.
