    Mains stopcock broken

    Not much general plumbing experience. Mains stopcock handle sheared off. Street isolation only outside for 4/5 houses. So to save any faffing about was just going replace spindle. Question is do all stopcocks have same size spindle and gland thread?

    Was at service of Back boiler earlier and this is what found in loft. Got the usual comment of "In 15 years no one has ever been up my loft to check anything". What ye all think? (why do these pics rotate when added)

    Rads heating when running hot tap- twin pass heat exchanger.

    Trying get my head around this one. Worcester 28i RSF (twin pass heat exchanger) is heating rads when running hot tap. Other Engineers have just told customer to turn down TRV's. Not a fix for the problem as bypass rad still heats. Any ideas? Check valves on flow and return bellow boiler maybe?

    Vokera head scratcher

    Called to an 18 month old Vision 30C earlier with poor hot water. Hot water luke warm at best showing a max of 35 deg on boiler display.     Vokera Syntesi 01 lockout

    Was at one these Syntesi boilers tonight. Have ignition and burner goes to high flame for about 3 seconds then goes to 01 flashing red lockout. Checked wireing/connections etc. and gas is ok. Rectification? PCB issue maybe?

    Prv & condensate pump

    Thoughts on this set up guys. A load of these installs have appeared on my patch. Prv ran into condensate pump via tundish and plastic pipework. The condensate pump is compatible as per Saermann. Vokera were giving no specific answer saying refer to British Standards.

    Anyone know if possible to get the Alloy flue test point screw itself or got to purchase whole flue kit? These strip very easily and some muppet Scot Gas Engineer has used firecement to cement it in place. :censored:

    You proved the F/switch is functioning? You manually activated the F/switch to check it? Tested for resistance on operation? Thermistor OK? If so it points to the board.

    Compact 35He solid red lockout.

    Dodgy APS is also worth checking. Had them prove and work on CH with no problems, but kicking off on HW.
