    TMV 2 and Worcester Junior

    Are there any issues with installing a TMV2 on the supplies to a kitchen sink?The boiler is a Worcester junior 28 which has no temperature control on the hot water. The customer is old and wants to reduce the temperature of the hot water.

    Explaining system.

    I went to a job today and asked the customer a few questions. "where is the filling loop? Where is the thermostat?.. Vacant look...Why is it on a fairly new system the customer doesn't know how it works. On the benchmark book it states that the customer has been shown. Anyone else experienced this?

    I dont know if its been done before but can you name and shame the best and worst merchants you use. Which ones are friendly and helpful and which ones are obnoxious and patronising. Do they know your name? or do the just say hello mate?

    Compression fittings

    Just about to fill 2 unvented cylinders and i check that all compression fittings are done up. I have noticed that some fittings are not as tight as when first installed. It seems that the compression fittings these days feel tight but need re-torquing. Has anyone else experienced this.

    I fitted a boiler a couple of years ago, the customer is now selling their house. The estate agent wants the building control notification certificate number. Where would they get this?. I always thought that the gas safe notification was all that was needed...... Any thoughts on this one.

    A customer has asked for a combi to replace an old back boiler. He would still like to keep the fire working. Is this possible.
