Hi all,
I was round at a customers the other day and he mentioned that his top floor rads weren't heating up (they are in converted loft). As it was on a tank and cylinder system I checked where the tank was sited and found that the top of the 2 rads are actually 30cm above base of tank. I bled...
Hi all,
Got a customer with a vitodens 100 boiler that needs topping up at least 2 times a day. I topped it up and over 15 mins noticed it had dropped just under 1/4 bar. All rad valves dry and rads bled. Could it be expansion vessel?
I'm not gas safe but would like to steer customer in right...
Hi all,
I have a customer who is looking for water heaters in a bar/ restaurant in Manchester. The building doesn't have a gas supply so the heaters need to be electric. Also, as it's a bar/ restaurant, it would more suitable to have a twin heater system in case of a breakdown.
I'm carrying...
Hi, does anyone know where I could get one of these drain 'cups' from? Not even sure of the proper name for it. Its in a McDonald's and 2nd time I've had to deal with one of these. First time I just improvised with a multi appliance sink trap but there isn't enough space here. Cheers
Hi,
I need to replace a shower mixer valve on an unvented system, and as it's concealed there are no isolated valves. Is there anything specific I have to do to system to isolate h/w or is it just like a standard g/fed system and shut cold off and h/w feed on cylinder?
Cheers
Hi, can anyone point me to a supplier of these valves please. They are from a knee operated trough/sink and the washers have gone. Can't source the washers or valves for love nor money. Any help would be appreciated. The actual sink has no manufacturers mark so can't go down that route :(
Thanks

I've been to see an old customer who is having a problem with a couple of towel rads in a bathroom.
It's a 'very' big old victorian house with 3 floors and basement (looks and feels like a hotel inside) and has 2 boilers in basement. Heating works perfectly for rest of house and customer...
Hi all.
I'm doing a job at a McDonalds and have been told that the sink P traps are a different size to standard UK ones.
Would anyone know if/ where I could get hold of the US sized ones? or if I can just leave the awkward size part of the trap in place and change the swivel part with a UK...
Just been to look at a overflow problem at kids day care centre. The c/w cistern kept filling to point of overflow. I checked valve and replaced washer and float as both were looking dated. Dropped water level and left it for a few hours. Went back and level is back up and overflowing again. As...
