    Does anybody know of a place that does training on agas

    As above really any body know anywhere that does training on agas? I turn down quite a few and want to start working on them. Aga themselves wont touch you unless you work for one of their companies and I cant see them subbing to me when I have no experience on them.

    I think if you removed the diyers it would be a ghost town in here and would be the end of the forum. Who will visit a forum with no new content. We have the arms and gas safe only for anything we dont want the customers to see or read. Maybe try and build the arms back up to the way it used...

    Gazebo for external work

    Any body use a gazebo type thing for external work? More thinking of oil installs. I want something fairly hard wearing as it's got to with stand cornish wind and ideally have sides to it.

    Firebird slimline combi

    Never installed one cant fit the grant combi in so thought I would price for a firebird. Are they any good? I'm not a big fan of worcester oil and dont think they are worth the extra £400.

    Vertical flue through 4 pitched roof

    How do you go about putting a vertical flue up through a roof where you cant get a roof ladder to hook over anything. They have a vertical flue in now and it's on a pitched roof but a side one if you get what I mean. I'm guessing scaffold up then unsure what to do next.

    Nest with oil combi compatible?

    I wired up a nest with an oil combi and whilst the heating side works fine is the hot water side compatible? It seems to me that it doesnt work with an oil combi so I just turned it off. Am i right or wrong.

    Gas engineer software glitches

    Anybody else having problems with it? Just tried to convert a quote to invoice as I have loads of times and its deleted everything on the quote! :mad: I've had numerous times I cant open up invoices and it seems to lose things from time to time. Getting pretty fed up with it at the moment.

    Can you fit any pressure reducing valve/ multiblock on unvented.

    Assuming the pressures are the same can I fit a standard pressure reducing valve/ multiblock or do I have to fit manufacturers specific?     I've been asked to quote for an oil combi which I dont do very often. What do I have to do to comply with boiler plus? Is it just fit a smart programmable stat like a nest? As obviously weather comp doesnt exist for oil does it?

    Oh do I hate Worcester!

    Went out to a leak on a Cdi. Armed myself with an o ring pack whipped the plate out and found the diverter rusted and a small amount broken off.     Boiler grants

    Anybody know how to start carrying out grant work replacing boilers. I've had a few companies offer me contract work but I don't want to do it for £200 or so a time. I've had a google but all I can find is the companies that carry them out and nothing about how you become an installer.

    Price per meter

    How does every body charge for pipe do you charge a certain amount per meter or do you work out exactly how many fittings and charge that way. I was thinking of charging a certain amount per metre and have that cover fittings and clips etc just not sure how to go about it.
