    Worcester boilers

    Is it just me or are these boilers a pain to service and repair. Had to replace the PRV on a Junior greenstar 28i and it was a nightmare to replace. Even testing a GV the plugs are on the back so needed to be removed to check solenoids. Does doing their training course help at all? Would be good...

    Alpha combi boilers

    Went on their training course last year and all seems good but still not fitted any. What is your opinion on them guys? Also do you think the commissioning of them is a bit long winded? I am currently fitting Logic plus and Vaillant boilers but Alpha prices are looking quite good for the low end...

    Water softener on megaflow system

    The system has 3 showers, kitchen and cloakroom. Question is can most water softeners cope with demand if most were running at once? Also are some softeners more up to the job of this demand? Most say the timer models are not the best but twin coil units are the best?

    Heat only boiler recommendation

    Cust needs 18KW boiler, heat only and they like Baxi. Problem is the solo has such a bad name although I have fitted a few with little problem. Normally would go for a vaillant 418 but they are not liking the price. Any thoughts on a reliable easy on the pocket boiler?

    Potterton main 18he heat only

    boiler runs fine on start up till heat satisfied, then trips out ignition fail on light sequence. Red light on and right hand green light on. Re set all ok till next restart, gas valve fine and spark generator working well. Any ideas out there on this one?

    Flow hammer on 3 port honeywell valve

    Problem only occurs when HW and CH on demand then CH satisfied. Hammers for 2-3 secs on mid pos shutting off heating. All other options no noise at all.     Ideal logic plus

    What do you guys think off these boilers? Have fitted a few over the last 6 months and found them great in fitting, size and price. ( also 5yr warrantee ) Not had a single problem so far, my only concern is no stainless steel heat exchanger.:shocked3:

    Ignition problem main 24he band b

    hot water working fine. On central heating the burner lights for 1 second then goes out, after the usual 3 attempts it goes to ignition lock out. Told low pressure setting on the GV could be wrong will check this out. Any other ideas if this does not work tomorrow

    Still got problems great on hot water, on heating burner lights briefly, 1 second then goes out, 3 attempts and it shuts down on ign. Reset and it does the same, but hot water instant ignition . Any ideas?

    Had a problem today I couldn't solve. boiler works great in hot water mode. On central heating it sparks to light but burner only just lights then goes out after the usual 3 attempts it trips out, any ideas please
